NutmegPAC Studio Policies





NutmegPAC has parking available in our front parking lot! While Nefetari hair salon is open, please do not park on the wall. Additional parking is in the Beacons Pharmacy parking.  Please do not park on the road. We request that you park your car and walk your child to the building. Please use caution when pulling into the parking lot as kids are always coming in and out of the Studio. The safety of our dancers is of utmost importance to us! Registration usually occurs in the summer during Open House; however, we accept ongoing registration. A non-refundable registration fee is required at time of registration. Registration fees are $45 per student for a maximum of $85 per family.


Tuition is calculated as an annual fee, we do have an option for installments where your yearly tuition is divided into 10 equal monthly payments for your convenience with September and registration payments due at the time of registration and is due on the 1st of the month thereafter. In the event of an unscheduled closing, a make-up class may be scheduled, classes that are missed due to holiday break are not paid classes and do not need to be made up. If you are absent from class, you are still responsible for your tuition payment. Tuition is non-refundable and refunds will not be given for closings due to weather, holidays, or absences of a student due to illness or vacation.  Makeups are also given if a student is out due to illness or vacation.  This policy will be strictly enforced, and no exceptions will be made.


There are no refunds of missed classes; any missed class will result in a make-up class. A completed and signed add/drop form must occur within the first 14 days of the month to be effective for the next month. No withdrawals will be accepted after January 1, 2019, as the student will be financially responsible for the remainder of the year in all classes enrolled in. You are responsible for tuition until this form is received. NutmegPAC does not issue refunds; you will have a period of six months to use your credit. 


Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for dance class. A dancer who is tardy will miss important opening instructions and proper warm up.. If your child is going to be absent, please notify the studio prior to the start of class, via Email, Text or Call 860-506-5712


Class Expectations
Every student is expected to be appropriately dressed for dance (see dress code) and is expected to behave throughout the facility in a disciplined, responsible, and courteous manner. Excessive talking or unfriendly behavior is not conducive to a healthy learning environment. NutmegPAC reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student or parent whose attitude, attendance, or conduct is found unsatisfactory.


Studio Closings
In the event of inclement weather, you will receive a Phone Text, Automated call, and a post on our Facebook Page. If you have NutmegPAC phone app installed, you will also get a push alert.


Holiday Closings
The holiday schedule of studio closing becomes available each September and is available on our events calendar section of our website.


Parent Observation 
We feel that dancers are better able to maintain focus and concentration without distractions from visitors; therefore, parents are encouraged to watch their dancer’s class on our flat panel video monitored TV screens in the comfort of our parent lounge.


Recital Performance
The recital offers our students a professionally directed performance that allows them to present to their families and friends the results of a year’s hard work, dedication, and progress. We will distribute Recital Performance Packets for parents prior to the Recital Performance. The performance packet will contain every detail of our recital performance from important instructions and dates to costume requirements.


Recital performance production fees  are included in the Registration fee per dancer and are due in Sept with Registration. The performance production fee covers the venue rental, sound, lighting, and security. Costume fees range from $66-$76 per routine. Costume payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.


If the dancer will not be participating in the recital, a “Recital Withdrawal” form must be completed and returned by October 15, 2016. You may pick up this form at the front desk. The start of business, October 16, 2016, you will be financially responsible for all recital costs if you have not completed this form. It is important that you complete this form so that we do not order a costume for you and so we can inform the teacher of your decision. A late costume fee of at least $25 will be assessed on all costumes ordered after January 1, 2019. Attendance at all stage and dress rehearsals during the two months prior to production is required by all dancers who wish to perform in the NutmegPAC Performance


Waiting Room
We are happy to have our dance families in our studio! In order to maintain a peaceful and clean environment for the studio, instructors, and students please adhere to the following policies:

  • Only studio personnel are permitted behind the desk. Please refrain from coming behind the desk or touching any studio management property without permission.

  • Please clean up after your children.

  • Dancers are permitted to enjoy a snack or eat dinner in the study lounge. Please remind them that they are responsible for cleaning up after themselves.

  • Please remember to put dance bags, jackets, etc. in the dancer’s locker room. We need to keep the waiting room as neat as possible for everyone’s enjoyment.

  • TV's are for viewing only. For the privacy of our dancers and choreographers, no videotaping or photography is allowed.

  • Students will be permitted to use the studio phone for emergencies only.

  • We are not responsible for lost/stolen articles. Please refrain from bringing valuable items (e.g. IPods, cameras, and cell phones) to the studio. Cell phones are NOT permitted in the studio during class.


Dance Etiquette Rules to Remember

  • All dance shoes, clothes, and bags should be labeled with your child’s name.

  • No gum is allowed in the dance studio at any time.

  • All students should use the restroom prior to the start of class.

  • Be courteous and respectful to other students, instructors, and staff at all times.

  • Students should not correct other students.

  • Rude behavior toward teachers, fellow students, or adults in the dance studio may lead to removal from class.

  • Please be mindful of discussions in the waiting room.

  • Remember, the studio is every NutmegPAC dancer’s home away from home!

Save on tuition by paying in advance! Pay your full year tuition at registration and get 10% off the total yearly tuition. Discount is applicable to NutmegPAC (Recreational Tuition and Competition: Class Base only) and does not include costume fees, company fees or other charges. Tuition payment must be paid in full by the last day of Sept.
